  • My Very First Time

  • It was my very first time in Mediacorp. It was an nerve-wrecking experience. I am not going there to be an actor. Not going there to be a model. Not going there to catch a glimpse of my favourite artistes. Not going there to work as part-time. Then why did I go there for?

Channel8 Countdown Party 2010@ Vivo City
What a nice way to end a year and welcome a new, fresh and extraordinary new year. I am seriously looking forward to it more than anything else. I was just trying out my luck with the thought that I won't be the lucky few but I was really surprised. I am THAT lucky. Can u guys believe it? I am SERIOUSLY not joking! Channel8 have picked me to end the year and welcome a fresh new start with their artistes. Talk about artistes. No doubt there will be lots of artistes, the majority from Mediacorp.

I went to Mediacorp today to collect the tickets. I would never dared to go alone. Thanks JunH for accompanying me and for that u get one ticket from me. Hah. Somewhat, I have already come to a decision. My parents would not want to go on these kind of party. Maybe they would? But since I have already promised my friends, I have to abide by the promise. I am not someone who break promises. ZiHeng will also be coming. Ain't I a kind friend?

I only requested randomly for 2tickets but suprisingly, I got 4. I was on the brink of losing those 4tickets. But fortunately, we have internet access with us. Our handphone. Looks like my phone bill will BOOMZ over the limti. But its all worth it...

I also saw a famous icon in Mediacorp while queuuing up. DAVID GAN! The hairstylist or is it designer? But heard that he is really RICH. Also the wedding planner for Fann&Chris wedding.

I will have sweet dreams tonight. Oh ya, I still have one more ticket left. My family definitely won't go separately. Brian says 12am is too late. Kenneth? Guess he won't go. Yavinesh? He is not one of our old classmates. Let nature take its course

  • Back to posting. Was really busy with all the work. The painting, cleaning, moving. In the end, felt that my efforts was not very much appreciated.

17thDecember-Watched avatar with Brian, Yavinesh, Zi Heng and Jun Hong. The effects, graphics, movements and plot was great. Over-the-top. There were quite a few climaxes in the course of the movie. The starting part was a little dull and boring. I actually did not know what the first part is all about. I was thinking that this man went inside the machine and suddenly became a monster out of nowhere. Fortunately, slowly through the course of the movie, I start to get it. That guy made a real big sacrifice betraying his own kind to helped the Na Vi and totally immune to the temptation of money. The ending was pretty obvious. Happy Ending again with the big bad guy killed... Brian thought at first that avatar was extremely boring and it would be a waste of money to catch it. Surprisingly, he enjoyed the movie fully and even went on to put a personal message praising avatar. Talk about being controversial. (Brian: Avatar is a must-watch)

19thDecember-Finally got a rare chance of volunteering. Guess that I am pretty lucky as all the slots for library volunteers till 2010 had been filled up. We helped out with the activitiy room's events which was rather lame. The adults came in and gave their suggestion on how to improve the library. JunHong and me gave our suggestion too. Which was politically correct amusing the audience to a great extent making us so embarrassed that we would have dug a hole right there and then and hid in it. Hah. Great experience. We also helped with the chopping of receipt, giving out of coupons, lucky draw at thee counter at the entrance. Yes, it was a REAL valuable experience and we get CIP points for that. I actually wanted to pocket the coupons for my own personal gains but I am not so cheap la. We borrowed 6books and get the coupons through our own personal means. The other volunteer started smiling and was shocked at our behaviour. Or is he surprised that we are so righteous? At least we didnt resort to underhand means to get to our ultimate motive.

See ya. Do enjoy the last one/two weeks of the holidays. Gonna finish up my Higher Chinese tomorrow by hook or by crook. As for the damm English homework, I am really at a loss...

  • Departure

  • Moving to Rio Vista soon. Very soon. Another more week to go. School is re-opening real soon too, leaving me with 2-3weeks left. Too bad. Time passed really fast. I still remember I was in deep thought on how I should spend the 2months long holiday, yet I enjoyed every moment of it without feeling a tinge of boredom. I went out on numerous occasions. Higher Chinese project, roadshow, movie, arcade, gathering with friends, gym, library, shopping, swimming, Genting, etc. Each and every trip was carved vividly in my mind and I will never forget those exciting and enjoyable moments. I really did enjoy this holiday. In fact, this was the first time I didn't feel bored AT ALL throughout the holidays.

Wondering if there is still time left for me to do more stuffs. Like volunteering work, countdown party 2010, housewarming, studying, borrowing storybooks, get my Sec3books and uniforms. Anyways, all the best guys, do enjoy the last weeks of the holidays.

  • JurongPoint2

  • Went to ''together'' roadshow today. It was pretty crowded but can't be compared to last year's Little Nyonya roadshow at Compass where all the 5floors are filled with people and the escalator stopped moving so that people can see the artistes. In addition, the titles at compass point cracked too due to a huge turnout of 5000people!

It was a long journey to Jurong Point but I feel that it is still worth it. 20stations which took nearly 1hour to reach. Also, we stood for the entire journey, there is simply no place for us to sit. Imagine standing for 40stations(To and fro). My legs are really worn out and on the verge of being crippled. Okay, am exaggerating.

People nowadays are really KIASU. We reached there at around 1.15pm and already saw huge crowds of people there. Those who wanted to get the first 100 limited edition calanders with the artistes signature queeued up at 4am in the morning, the moment Jurong Point opened. Wow. Those people in the queeus are probably fanclubs which includes Jeanius, dai yang tian and elvin fanclub. The fans screamed and shouted the moment the artistes arrrived. And pushing and shoving all the way. Hah, Jeanette is really popular. her fans shouted in chinese ''ou xuan, we will always love u'', ''ou xuan, u are the prettiest'' and yao jian hong(her name in that show), we wish that u will shoot to stardom(thats the lines from ''together'') and will support u forever!

Hah, cool experience. And Jeanette even stood up a few times to wave to her fans all the way to the second and third stories. Okay, a picture paints a thousand words. Lets see if my handphone would cooperate!

  • ''together''

  • Yo... Just finished watching ''together'', the end-of-year anniversary blockbuster drama. And I am finally gonna attend the roadshow for fans. Gonna head over to Jurong Point this coming Saturday. Loyal fans of ''together'' do remember to show your support by attending to this one and only roadshow! Of course, I extremely excited at this coming event and hopefully, I will be able to get the limited edition calander. But it's gonna be real tough as there will be fan club of Jeanette Aw, DYT, Elvin Ng, etc. Obviously, Jeanette is the more popular ones.

And I think it will be a good experience for me and it will no doubt with fun. Guess the place will be very crowded on that day! Heart beaming with joy that no words could describe.
